For most of us, we simply turn on the tap and water flows out. Some, however, have to haul water. Some do it in buckets or random empty jugs while others opt for manufactured plastic tanks that sit in the be of their trucks. Water holding tanks are relatively common in the Fairbanks area and range from 500 gallon up to 2,500 gallons. Depending on the size of your family, it can be a daily chore. Water tanks are fairly common where wells are prohibitively expensive to drill or where the water quality is a known issue. Here’s a short video showing the Fox Spring watering hole in 2006. This is a very popular spot for getting drinking water.
