From My Lens

I’m watching you…

Im watching you...

Seward, on the Kenai Peninsula, is one of our favorite summer vacation destinations. A sleepy little hamlet in the winter months, Seward comes alive during the summer with (literally) boat loads of visitors, locals looking to explore Resurrection Bay, fish or just enjoy Mother Nature. Seward is also home to the Alaska SeaLife Center, where the numerous exhibits will keep you busy for hours. The Center also rehabilitates injured animals for release back into the wild. The Alaska SeaLife Center is the only permanent stranding facility for marine mammals in Alaska. Operating as a designated marine mammal “stranding center” within a marine research facility allows veterinarians and staff to learn a great deal about these animals during the rehabilitation process.
