Originally from Mississippi and North Carolina, Alaska has been home base for almost three decades. Having lived, worked and played tourist across the globe, we are most at home in the Last Frontier. While we occasionally miss the warm weather and beaches of the Carolinas we can’t imagine living anywhere else. I could do with a little less -40 degree weather though, if you have any pull with old man winter. 🙂
I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. I started with an old Nikon my dad gave me eons ago and have been a photo hound ever since. Landscapes and nature photography are my passion but if it strikes a cord, I’ll stop and take a picture of it. I’m by no means a professional… not even close. I’m just a guy that loves to take pictures. I had a lot of fun shooting these photos… I hope you enjoy viewing them.
In March 2013, the love of my life went to our Heavenly Home after a lengthy cancer battle. Since then, I sold our home, put everything that didn’t fit into our Airstream into storage and set off to figure out He has in store for me. Having been on the road for more than a year I have revisited old friends, made many wonderful new friends, and have seen glorious sunsets from coast to coast. The next chapter is still being written… stay tuned. There’s no telling what will happen.
“Hope is both the earliest and the most indispensable virtue inherent in the state of being alive. If life is to be sustained hope must remain, even where confidence is wounded, trust impaired.” Erik Erikson
We've been blessed to meet some wonderful people in our travels and virtual wanderings. Feel free to visit their site and say hi and be sure to tell 'em Jesse & Kathy sent you.
